Personne physique qui exécute une œuvre. Il jouit de droits sur sa prestation, que l’œuvre exécutée soit protégée ou non. En droit anglais, l’artiste-interprète a des droits économiques et moraux sur sa performance (exécution d’une pièce de théâtre, musicale, lecture ou récitation d’une œuvre littéraire…) (s. 180 (1) & (4) CDPA 1988).
